Erik E. Breddin began his call at Zion January 1, 2015. Erik has a
Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa,
and has completed over 75 percent of the work required for a Master’s Degree in
Divinity. He is an accredited United Church of Christ minister. Additionally,
he and his wife, Melissa, have both worked with high school and college age
students in the LBGT community.
Erik was the pastor of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Cedar Falls, Iowa,
where he served since 2008. Prior to that, he was a youth minister for a church
in Minnesota. Melissa is a foreign language teacher at a local high school. They are the proud parents of two daughters, whom they adopted.
